Chrissy Romeo - Development Manager
Chrissy wears many hats around the sanctuary, but her incredible ethics and determination help us every day to achieve our goals. She takes care of our donor management and is one of the most pleasant people we know.
Jesus Bracero - Facilities Manager
Jesus is literally our savior! One of the hardest working people at the sanctuary, he ensures everything is in working order and then some. There is nothing he cannot do! We are so grateful to have him on the team.
Dan Shelton - Flock Manager
Dan is one of our most trusted bird caregivers, known for his steady presence, sharp instincts, and deep understanding of poultry health and behavior. Having previously worked in a commercial production facility, Dan brings a rare, inside perspective to sanctuary care and has intentionally chosen a more compassionate path, dedicating his skills to the rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong wellbeing of our birds. Whether he’s monitoring subtle changes in a chicken’s gait, fine tuning enrichment and flock dynamics, or helping refine our biosecurity routines, Dan combines hands on expertise with genuine respect for every individual bird, and our residents are safer and healthier because of him.
Emery McDonough - Animal Caregiver
Emery identifies as them/they, has many animal skills, and many shades of hair. All the colors of the rainbow. They love our animals and help out in the garden as well!
Viola Agostini - Shelter Director
Our Farm Manager Viola not only loves each and every animal at the sanctuary, but she makes sure to pay attention to the tiniest of details, making sure that every animal resident lives their best life. She also makes sure the entire sanctuary is running in proper order.
Paola Gavino - Social Media
We've had the privilege of working alongside Paola for countless years, dedicated to the cause of rescue and animal advocacy. Paola has been an integral part of the Tamerlaine Team from the very beginning. Today, not only is she a cherished board member, she graciously lends her unwavering passion and heartfelt voice to our social media efforts, all with the shared goal of maximizing our impact and creating lasting change for the voiceless animals we hold so dear. 🐾❤️
Carol Dacey - Outreach Coordinator
Carol first came to Tamerlaine as a volunteer and made it clear she wasn’t going anywhere. She advocated for a role we didn’t even have yet, then earned it through sheer work ethic, reliability, and a deep commitment to our mission. Starting as an assistant in our PT room, she learned every corner of our operation from the ground up. Today, as our Outreach Coordinator, Carol keeps our communication and coordination running smoothly, connects supporters to meaningful ways to help, and makes sure the details don’t slip through the cracks. Her desk may look “cushy,” but the truth is simple: we’d fall apart without her..
Gustavo Navarro - Facilities
Gustavo started on herd care, but now he does it all—cleaning, fixing, feeding, and helping out where ever he is needed at the sanctuary. He works closely with our facilities manager making sure everything at the sanctuary is running smoothly.
Diana Geilman - Animal Caregiver
Diana is our resident spiritual guru. When she’s not working for the animals, she’s probably lighting a candle and manifesting for them.
Connor Crane - Animal Caregiver
Connor’s specialty? Getting the tractor stuck in places no tractor should be. When he’s not sinking machinery, he’s wrangling our naughtiest goat, Moondog.
