Meet Our Team

Chrissy Romeo - Manager of Development

Chrissy wears many hats around the sanctuary, but her incredible ethics and determination help us every day to achieve our goals. She takes care of our donor management and is one of the most pleasant people we know.

Jesus Bracero - Facilities Manager

Jesus is literally our savior! One of the hardest working people at the sanctuary, he ensures everything is in working order and then some. There is nothing he cannot do! We are so grateful to have him on the team.

Dan Shelton - Flock Manager

Dan is quite illusive and hard to photograph however his skill with the birds comes from working at an ostrich farm. If he can handle a bird as tall as he is, our birds are a breeze!

Emery McDonough - Animal Caregiver

Emery identifies as them/they, has many animal skills, and many shades of hair. All the colors of the rainbow. They love our animals and help out in the garden as well!

Viola Agostini - Farm Manager

Our Farm Manager Viola not only loves each and every animal at the sanctuary, but she makes sure to pay attention to the tiniest of details, making sure that every animal resident lives their best life. She also makes sure the entire sanctuary is running in proper order.

Paola Gavino - Social Media

We've had the privilege of working alongside Paola for countless years, dedicated to the cause of rescue and animal advocacy. Paola has been an integral part of the Tamerlaine Team from the very beginning. Today, she graciously lends her unwavering passion and heartfelt voice to our social media efforts, all with the shared goal of maximizing our impact and creating lasting change for the voiceless animals we hold so dear. 🐾❤️

Marina Lopez-Braddock - Head Animal Caregiver

Marina is not only our head animal caregiver, but she is also in charge of our physical therapy suite. She has incredible intuition when it comes to animals. She uses her 3D printer to make braces for our bird population, constructs wheelchairs for our larger bird population, and is our head laser technician.

Carol Dacey - Outreach Coordinator

Carol started as a volunteer and demanded a job we didn’t have. She worked her way from an assistant in our PT room and now she’s got a cushy desk gig—and honestly, we’d fall apart without her.

Gustavo Navarro - Facilities

Gustavo started on herd care, but now he does it all—cleaning, fixing, feeding, and even giving our elderly animals their daily massage gun treatments. Basically, he’s part caregiver, part spa technician, and 100% amazing.

Colleen Burdsall - Animal Caregiver

Colleen is a former zookeeper whose specialty was elephants—so no animal at the sanctuary is too big, too bold, or too bossy for her to handle!

Jenn Prendergast - Herd

Whole cat - half lady. We are still trying to get a good picture of Jen, but she likes this one. Jen has been working on farms on and off for her entire life, especially with horses. She gives our donkeys all the attention they need and oversees the care of all our larger animals.

Diana Geilman - Animal Caregiver

Diana is our resident spiritual guru. When she’s not working for the animals, she’s probably lighting a candle and manifesting for them.

Connor Crane - Animal Caregiver

Connor’s specialty? Getting the tractor stuck in places no tractor should be. When he’s not sinking machinery, he’s wrangling our naughtiest goat, Moondog.
