Sunshine Elite School: The Final Chapter!

Sunshine Elite Education in Oregon is home to students K-12, who are interested in academic enrichment or in need of tutoring. Many of the students are first-generation Americans, and children of immigrant parents. Less commonly, some students immigrated themselves, and are ESL students. And, according to teacher Jennifer Rose, “They are such great kids!”

Jennifer Rose teaches Strength Focused Writing + Grammar workshops. Upon learning about Tamerlaine’s virtual tours of our Sanctuary, she worked with us on a great plan: visits for each class, followed by a writing contest based on her students’ experiences. We would publish the winners on our website. As the entries rolled in, we loved them ALL. However…we came to realize each of these pieces had so much effort put into them, that picking a winner was just too hard! As such, we are spotlighting Mrs. Rose’s classes and Sunshine Elite’s students by sharing with our readers ALL of their work based on their virtual visit here.

We even left in small inaccuracies because they just made us love them more, and many of them caught the spirit of our mission so just didn’t matter. Get ready to enjoy a selection of pieces in assorted genres: fiction, poetry, research papers, and personal narratives.
